The oil, a part of Freon makes most plastics parts brittle and replace indoor unit. If you have electric baseboard heat and are looking for a premium product this seems to be pretty much the only game in town. It looks about as good as a baseboard heater can do and exudes quality. Even though this product was assembled in America, the motor was made in Germany and you certainly can't go wrong with German technology.
